July 16th, 2010So GoDaddy just launched this new thing called GoDaddy MarketPlace. It’s news to me (seeing as I just saw it here it might be news to everyone? idk?
Ok…so I have a few issues with this. Mainly…what is the point? Mall type ecommerce always just seems to be done wrong. I don’t get why they’ve gone this route other than to possibly make money off of the people who want to include their products there. Other than that I really do not see a huge demand for something like this. I have to keep this short, but can someone please tell me what the point of this was if not for the $20 per merchant they’ll get? (and the possible 9% on sales but is it going to be that popular where it’s worth it?)
I appreciate any feedback anyone has. I don’t want to crap on their parade but I just don’t see the value or point in it.

New York CITY!
July 14th, 2010That’s right. I’m going to New York for the Affiliate Marketing Summit for work. They’re going to send us out just for the event so it means flying in on Sunday and our on Tuesday. Doubt I’ll get to see anyone while I’m back there but I can’t wait just to see the city. I had such an amazing time when I was out there visiting family, I can’t wait to go back. First thing I’m doing is finding that killer pizza place in Brooklyn and grabbing a slice.
If anyone wants to meet up while I’m there we can try to work something out, no guarantees that I’ll be free but hit me up if you can meet me down there and we’ll try to grab dinner at the very least. Maybe catch some UCB improv?
